In August of last year, I attended a seminar and subsequently met with Ian for an informal discussion. We had been showing a detectable decline both in our margins and in the number of guests and repeat business. I had difficult on identifying the causes or any solution. It was clear that one option might have to be closure. Following our informal meeting Ian prepared a report on the business which provided some insight and focus which I had not previously possessed.
